So far Conference Tournaments

Even in a proven period of parity and equal talent among the elite, the conference tournaments have but for a select few, have gone pretty much to the ones who were the elite of the conference.

America East. Albany (2) vs Vermont (1) (Saturday, NOON, ESPN)

Atlantic Sun. Belmont (2) beat East Tennessee (1). (Belmont finished 1 game behind ETSU)

Big Sky. Weber State (1) beat Northern Arizona (2)

Big South. Winthrop (1) beat WMI (6).

Colonial. VCU (1) beat George Mason (6)

Horizon. Wright State (1) beat Butler (2)

Metro-Atlantic. Niagara (2) beat Siena (4). The 2-4 seeds all had the same conference record and ended 2 games behind #1 seed Marist.

Mid Continent. Oral Roberts (1) defeated Oakland (MI) (2).

Missouri Valley. Creighton (2) defeated Southern Illinois (1)

Northeast. Central Connecticut (1) defeated Sacred Heart (2)

Ohio Valley. Eastern Kentucky (2) defeated Austin Peay (1)

Patriot. Holy Cross (1) plays Bucknell (2) (ended with same conference record... their overall record are HC 24-8, Bucknell 22-8)

Southern. Davidson (1) defeated Charleston (3).

Sun Belt. North Texas (5) defeated Arkansas State (2)This is the only league where the top 2 seeds were both beaten so far. Western beaten in Semis by Arkansas State. South Alabama in second round by eventual champ North Texas. Note about North Texas. They besides South Alabama were the hottest team in the last 4 weeks of the season.

West Coast. Gonzaga (1) defeated Santa Clara (2).

WI Staff predictions so far. 7 of the 12 tournaments were predicted correctly. in two others the prediction played in the final game.

So, in the midst of the final mid to low major conference tournaments widing down and the BIG BOYS just starting. The WI Staff has done well so far.
